Product Description :
Mother Frances Xavier Cabrini found the property, which had two barns and a springhouse but no reliable source of water, on the side of Lookout Mountain in 1902.
In 1954 the 22-foot statue Jesus, carved by an Italian artist, was mounted on an 11-foot base high above the city.
That year, 373 steps leading up to the top of the Mount of the Sacred Heart were placed and completed in 67 days.
The stairway follows the path Mother Cabrini, her fellow Catholic sisters, and orphan children took to the top of the mountain.
